airFreebox preview

“airFreebox” is an Android Air application written with Flex SDK 4.

It allows to control your Freebox STB (from Free french DSL provider) in many ways :
- Remote control over Wifi (local network)
- Record TV programs over Wifi/3G (Internet or local Network)
- Get TV Guide and use it to zap remotely from channel to channel
- Post program tweets in 1 click
- Access to Youtube related video
- auto power on the STB on your favorite TV channel
- 5 to 6 days of TV programs schedule
- Offline mode – access to TV Guide of your already downloaded programs data.
- support multi-resolution (from a WildFire to a Hero to a Desire/N1 to a Droid X and more…)
- Data stored into your phone (using SQLite)
- your Free login/password and twitter login/password are encrypted in the SQLite database and also over the Internet (app is using 2 php scripts to get the programs data from Free.fr DSL provider and for the recording orders from internet)
- Control multiple Freebox STB (the app auto-detects how many box there is in your network and give you the freespace available on each one)

Also find some screenshots of the app on the the “Last Screenshots” section.

This version is almost the production one. Some little stuff to tweaks… you’ll see the app coming to the Android Market soon, when Air for Android and Froyo will be available to all of you.

Of course, new cool additions are coming in next upgrades..

I’ll write an complete article of airFreebox when it’ll be available in the Android Market. It’s only for Freebox owner (only in France). For french people who have ideas or request for airAndroid, just tell me in the comments of this post or on my Twitter account what you d’like to see.
The app should be free (but with some ads) or not – if not it would not be expensive (about 1 Euro).
